Your nations GDP, at the moment will be determined by your population times your percentage of their income taxed time 30000.

The 30000 will be the current universal average, but will fluctuate depending on what you do. For example, increased military conscription will lower it, while hosting an event such as the Olympics will increase it.

Further information on how your country's yearly income will be released later, when I work them out. Suggestions would be welcome.

If possible, can you please post the percentage you plan to tax, in order so I can release the data.

If anyone feels that this is getting to complicated, mention it and I will remove some elements.

Currently, due to no known global issues effecting the economy, the Federal Republic of Ellesmere shall have an income tax rate of 20%. This rate of taxation is preliminary and will be subject to fluctuation, when the nation's fiscal committee in the Government deem change as necessary.

As of now the glorious nation of Arcadia has a 25% income tax. This is subject to change as the government and people see fit, to better serve and protect our lands and people.

At the moment I'll use the US dollar, but if there becomes a currency that is either voted in (at an economic summit, maybe) or becomes predominate in its use/mention, that will become the standard currency.

Just for the system, what is the current value of the Arcadian dollar compared to the USD (salary's will be moved up or down to match, so it follows the same value)

Oh, and having high taxes will slow the economic growth of your nation.

The currency for Ellesmere is: the Ellesmere Mark (symbol: EM). The value of this currency is weak enough to support a decent market for its exports, yet strong enough to maintain trust in the currency.

1 EM = 1.4 US$

The exchange rate between EM and Arcadian Dollars is not yet known.

Due to vast oil reserves the Republic of Arcadia has a strong economy and a due to a more rigid banking environment to avoid what happened to the U.S. recently. The currency is also quite stable, currently resting at:

1.24Æ=1 U.S.$

Ellesmere Mark is equal to .885714 Arcadian dollars.

The current standard currency, just to bring as much as possible in game, will be the Swiss Franc (CHF)
It will still be valued at one.

My tax rate is at 15% during the current peace time. My currency is the Glori which equals 1.3 Swiss Francs. Our economy is primarily the manufacture and export of goods, due to a lack of oil Sad

Hey

Tomorrow/today will be the release of that days GDP - for this I need the % of your starting GDP (before negatives) that you spend on your military, and the percentage you will spend on edu (unless this is becoming too demanding to do - it seems to me to be getting extremely complicated, but draco and slip disagree, and I haven't heard from anyone else)

From out of the tax I believe I may raise it to 30% to make it easier to fund my future.
Now from the 30% imagine it as 100%

50% military(15% tax)
10% national health service
15% education
5% Imports of minerals (I'll need a extra pot for that caladin from my main treasury)
5% transport between my empire/provinces
2% Propoganda
13% goes to my treasury.

Hopefully that isn't too hard for caladin to work from

Ok. For the moment lets just have military and propaganda, and I will create a poll asking what we should/shouldn't include; I'm happy to do all of it, but I think that having to do all that will reduce interest and scare people away.

Well import of minerals is basically ym trade money, it certainly makes it easier to know what to work with.

I just calculated the Union's GDP, and I got 10,500,000,000,000. Is this correct? I may have derived the formula incorrectly, I did this:

It's incorrect. The correct result is 10,500,000,000.00
The reason I put the error as *1000 is because on my one, to shorten numbers I divided the pop by 1000, and forgot to factor that in in my equation.

Normally I post the GDP as there are a large number of factors to include, such as negatives and so on, as to run this I need to know the small details, to decide pop growth or decline and other factors.

By the way, can you create thread on 'country specific' with your countrys intro from .org?

Okay, Arcadian GDP expenditures are:

76% military( I may have to Jack up taxes a wee bit to fund my warmongering)

10% project stable earth research platform

4% propaganda (Anti terrorist and support campaigns for soldiers)

(and xeno, you might want to decide what your propaganda is directed at. You don't have to create a campaign, though.)

Can you also please include an average income for troops? It will come out of your military budget, and will be useful for determining a number of things when (if) it comes to conflict.
