Information on size of Military: The state of Gloria forces all men over the age of 17 to serve in the armed forces for a minimum of 5 years. In times of crisis the population is conscripted to fight. Children, the elderly and women are expected to pick up the vital infrastructure of the state in the men's absence. At present there are 342,000 serving in the armed forces, 50% of which serve in the Glorian Navy. 20% serve as pilots in the airforce.

Starting technologies: Gloria is a state of enlightenment with much focus being put into research of new technologies. As a result mechanised infantry are almost a reality. The level of robotics research is enough that factories produce far more than if manned by people.
