Infantry:
All swiss citizens have a compulsory stint of five years in the military, and until the age of 40 will take part in swiss projects for two weeks a year as part of the military.
This means that all swiss citizens between the ages of 20 and 40 can be called to fight, but this is a once in a millennium occurrence, as it would cause a sharp rise in the percentage of tax going to the military, as well as an economic crisis at home.
The standing infantry army is 10,000

Edit/ Forgot Special Ops.
Switzerland has a small force totaling 400 members of an elite special ops forces. These troops are used for fast insertion and fast removal in snow. They are paratroopers, also carrying cross country skis, enabling them to attack large forces as they march, and, with air support, which enables them to escape before attack helicopters arrive, get away before the larger force can bring its full brunt to bear against them.
